Upgrading Concessions
Given that the turnstiles at the OS are unmanned, can anyone think of a logical reason why you would upgrade an U21 ticket to full adult, for example?

To be fair the technology is probably there but the stewards are pre-occupied with other issues at the moment.
I reckon they will not worry about checking tickets for some time until things settle down..by which time 40,000 people will have lifetime bans and the only ones left will be OAPs and children.

I paid £37 to upgrade my son's ticket to an adult for yesterday's game. No one was checking when we went through entrance H... so a complete waste of time and money.

Ons of my lot I've just spoken to.told ms something that was pretty shit. Not sure how prevalent this is but he said that while he was lining up to get in the bobby Moore two fellas walked straight past him and straight in the door, completely unchallenged. He saw that they had tickets as they walked up the stairs.but no.stewards would have known that. I hope that's a ons off.

PD you cant see the light, it is on the inside above the turnstile .
when you put your ticket against the reader it will show green to let you in ,but that's not where they check

One sure way to get them checking is to make sure you broadcast on here how many turnstiles aren't being checked.

upgraded a kids ticket for a friend yesterday in block 204 , didn't want the grief of maybe or not it would be ok, £37 to upgrade from child to normal adult , had to do it on the phone on friday ,as yet there is no way of doing this online which seems poor .

Was nobody checking in H or J yesterday. Could have filled your boots.

Re: Upgrading Concessions
They are checking ,the turnstile I went through had two stewards inside looking at the lights ,green is a normal adult ticket and orange is a concession,if it goes orange they have to challenge and if an adult is using a child ticket they have to confiscate the ticket and send them out .
I don't know what the follow up procedure is ,whether they send you a letter to see if you want to upgrade and have the ticket back or forfeit it.

that said if you are with a group and the first through ask the stewards for directions to where their seats are while they are explaining the concession goes through unchallenged.
Not that I am suggesting you do that of course

No and they never will, despite bullshit from OtB to the contrary.

Did anyone who bought a £99 kids ST at the reservation centre end up having to provide ID for the kid?

Re: Upgrading Concessions
The turnstiles have someone the other side watching to see if the light above changes colour to show its a concession.
Some people will get caught some won't.

This thread has now set off alarms on the mainframe of the Central Irons Agency, and they will be waiting for you above the turnstiles in their black helicopters.

Should have held mum.

Re: Upgrading Concessions
I bought a ticket off KUMB a few years back at a pretty cheap price but the guy made it clear it was a kids seat so I could risk it or pay the difference.

I queued up before the game and paid the difference, it came to roughly the face value of the ticket but that's fair enough.
